it doesnt have a K03...its something smaller (maybe) but damn efficient at what it does!

i think its the internal improvements in the engine that allows it to make these numbers imo.

very nice.  hate the way PDT scales his graphs though.  makes it dificult to check the curve on the graph.

How does it feel compared to a stage 1/2 k04 then?  that must be quicker, definitely faster spooling id imagine.

Also its not just 360lbft, your above 300lbft from around 2800-5200rpm.  thats immense.

what about the clutch on the mk6. is it the same as the mk5,

@ chungster, APR claimed 380Hp for the k04 conversion on the tsi, and they are normally quite reserved.

I know of a mk6 gti runing ko4 pushing 400bhp on the rollers and so does Rubbertoe its apparently turned down to 370bhp or there abouts just now and clutch is slipping as I say Rubbertoe knows more on spec but can confirm my 350bhp ed 30 up against his was like chalk and cheese on a private test track  :surprised: :driver:

Is your Mk6 a DSG car, Steve? If so, dry 7-speed IIRC?

....Cheers, Steve. So I expect that the different DSG box of tricks will be upgraded in its max torque capacity.

^^^^ Nope not difference of the torque handling, it's the electronics and control system side of the box that has changed, hence the reason no DSG remaps are available it as yet.

The APR kit was GT28 based that got 380, their K04 code is somewhere around 350bhp.

I believe the clutch is the same on the Mk6 as the Mk5.

Are you sure steve?
those figures were from awesome GTIs website for the k04 TSI conversion. it even mentioned in the write up that the k04 yielded better results on the TSI than the TFSI due to the stronger internals and better HPFP

I have already driven a Mk6 with a K04 that was done by GTI Engineering / Morego so that a possibility, one thing I do know for sure is that it wouldn't be done by JKM with APR code.
