Fan belt? They squeal like crazy if they are getting a bit old and harden up. Aircon compressor could also be a culprit as the bearings on older models start to play up. Try it with aircon off and on and for the belt I also just put a little water on it as a test and run the car on a short trip.

Need a bit more info on where but I presumed engine bay and in the cabin?

Could be a knackered pcv, do a search on YouTube for videos and see if the sounds are similar, also could be alternator bearings, tensioners, rollers etc. does it happen whilst stationary and at all engine speeds.

Thanks for the replies it happens after the engine is warmed up short runs,  then after say 6 - 7 miles it starts, general running not braking or accelerating
