The old saying of "it's not what you know, it's who you know" springs to mind.
....Yes, that's something I learnt many moons ago, probably at school, and which helped me throughout my business working life. It's even how I counted Harrods among my clients, Steve.
The thing is that this forum is a real community and we all help each other in many various ways whenever we can. If I can I help you guys and I also help the guys like Milltek who help me - We all help each other - It's called a Win-Win, no losers.
I know I'm not the only one here who derives a great pleasure from helping others.
Here we go again
As normal you have missed my point Robin. It's good that people have ultimately received the right level of service from a company,
but in the interests of balance the valid point remains it's a shame that certain companies can't treat all customers in the same way, and that it takes direct contact into someone very senior to what most people feel is an acceptable level of service.
Reusing the Harrods example, it doesn't matter who you are, every customer through the door is made to feel special and with the aim to make sure they are all treated in the same manner.
It's also great to hear of forum member's helping each other.
