New rad heating issue
« on: June 11, 2018, 12:41:31 pm »
Hello i had a new radiator fitted at the weekend and now my heating is playing up. The aircon works ok but when i put the heating on it blows both hot and cold (at the same time) through the face vents even though I have not selected that vent. The foot and windscreen ones appear ok.

I was thinking maybe an airlock of some sort? Any advice will be appreciated as well as links to removing airlocks. Thanks

When up to temp carefully check the coolant hoses, if you find a cold one then you have a airlock.

Jack the front of the jack up and run the engine up to temp with the header tank cap off. If there is air in the system you should see some bubbling in the header tank as the air comes out of the system.
