Wheel bearing noise at 70+mph?
« on: June 19, 2018, 12:27:13 pm »
Since I have had my car it's had a slight rotational thumping noise at speeds above 70mph from the front of the car, it's mainly gone above 80mph but it's still there. It almost sounds like a flat tyre if that makes sense.

So far I have replaced all 4 tyres with a quality brand, wheels have been balanced, 4 wheel laser alignment from the top garage in my area, 2x front wishbones, droplinks, ball joints, CV joints and driveshafts and yet the noise still persists. The only thing I haven't changed are the wheel bearings but the last MOT was done by someone with a very anal reputation who surely would have picked up on this?

To note the noise hasn't got any worse since I got the car 10K miles ago.

Any ideas?
