are they XL rated?

I'd think so, besides a slick's carcass is was stiffer than a normal tyre anyway, so it'd not be an issue.

I'm sure VWR's demo car was running on these. I've got the copy of VW Driver somewhere, but I seem to remember them getting a lot of praise.
Sideways yo!

funny name of a shop Pnus

its french for tyre

....Close. "Pneu" is French for tyre [says he, showing off], or "tire" if you're American.

Wow! Vredestein @ 280 is pretty impressive. The higher the number the longer lasting, right?

I might try Vredesteins next time. I had Vredestein road race tyres when I raced bicycles. IIRC they were only about 15 mm wide and inflated to over 150 psi. Hedge will know - He used to race as well - We were in rival clubs. The point is that the rubber was excellent.

230 for the Toyo seems pretty impressive too. I'd love a tyre which I can use whatever I'm doing in my car.

of the 50 or so laps i have done at the ring i had the toyo on for the first two trips there, and thought they were ok but really were sh!te compared with the vreds which i had fitted the morning i was leaving for an outing at the ring. they had 90 mile to scrub in, and by that time they were outgripping the toyos.  i havent had much mileage out of the vreds, only about 4k but saying that they have done alot of ring time(prob 20+ laps as well as my daily abuse) and i still reckon i have another 4k in them.

ill definately be buying them again. although i do like the look of the toyo R1Rs

I have vredesteins on the front, they are good but  I can't seem to get any grip at the minute with mine, thats why I have given these Hankooks a go...

I'm looking into getting some pro race 1.3's to put them on, fancy a wheel change and really like the 1.3's in the bright silver finish
