So I recently picked up an 07 Plate Edition 30 in Reflex Silver with 120k on the clock.
The car needs some TLC. Interior wise it is in really good shape for a 10 year old car with the exception of a slight tear in the seam on the drivers seat, however, the exterior needs some work, all alloys curbed, scratches, fogged headlights and a rear bumper which is a slightly different shade of silver so guessing it's been resprayed at some point. The engine and gearbox seem strong.
The cars missing it's build number so I'm trying to find that out from VW Customer Services which is hard going as they say they'll call you back and never do. I even had a call scheduled today and they didn't call.
So the first plan of action is the following to tidy the car up:
Change the Cam Follower - just to be sure as no history of it being done before - going to take it down to JKM to do and give the car a once over
Replace the Drivers Door Lock Latch Actuator
New Key Fob
Restoration of Headlamps
Wheels Refurbished - New Centre Caps
Replace or respray Rear Bumper
Replace Number Plates
I'm sure I'll then add some modifications like Remap, DV, Air Filter but it will be slow going as we are renovating a house at the moment so cash is going towards that.
