Forgive me, I know you're only displaying your enthusiasm, but when I see the kind of posting you get on Vortex I just switch off - they could be telling me my house was on fire and I'd not bat an eyelid.
....But you didn't because you're here on page 6. It's best to always keep an open mind imo and see beyond someone's style of presentation.
If you weren't happy with your REVO trial, why didn't you just go back to them and discuss why it didn't give you what you wanted? You still might have gone with CC, it may even be a better map. But in the bigger picture you'd have been doing more of a favour for other S3 owners by working with people and giving them useful feedback.
....Discussing it with Revo would have been a good thing to do but it's reasonable for anyone to assume that a Trial is truly representative of the real thing. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Revo no longer offer Trials now and apply a 30-day option?
However, I wouldn't be inclined to be a guinea pig just for the sake of other S3 owners.
One thing is very clear and that is how mature and reasoned 99% of the discussion in this thread has been - This site is one of the very best for that.
Eh? Look in the review section of the forum, what's the one thing they all have in common, including your own ones?
They're all fair, balanced and written with helping others in mind. That's what's good about this forum. Now, why aren't I allowed to decide that posting reviews in such a manner is better than the US style, or tell others that's what I prefer to see?....
Something may well be sh*te, but at least ellaborate on why.
Regarding the trial and feedback, there might have been something fundamentally wrong with the map he was given. How will anyone ever know? How many other S3 owners could have been given a duff trial?
Look at what happened with Bluefin. Everyone slagged it off and abandoned ship for other tuners because it wasn't performing - then one person had the good sense to actually talk to Superchips, the problem was found, resolved and everyone benefitted.
I don't call that being a guinea pig, I call it good sense.
