Hi guys,
I have a 2008 MK5 gold GT TDI which I picked up a few months ago. Everything was good until my electronic fuel flap button did nothing, and with my dads help with wiring we found out it was a broken wire in the drivers door conduit (right word?) where the wiring harness goes through to the door. Whilst in there, I think we must have pinched a wire because now the driver side rear door is dead; no lights on door, no remote locking, no window controls etc. The driver door window switches all work except for the rear right door window
Last night my car was in my driveway and someone must have tried the door and got in as the lock is permanently unlocked! Luckily I didn't have anything except a few bits of useless paper so nothing was stolen but now I'm worried they may bring the right tools to nick the car. I tried to make the outside door handle have no function but it still opens the door. When checking the rear door conduit/wiring I saw there are 3/4 cream coloured wires and 2 brown wires, and a bunch that go into the door lock module.
When the car is on and I open doors I get the warning, but when I open the rear driver side door nothing comes up on the dash
I looked in the driver door wiring harness and can't see these wires, but as far as I understand they go into the CCM. Where do I look next without taking the whole driver door and trim panels apart, as the driveway is on a main road and not much space. Is there a specific wire for the rear driver side door power?
Thanks
