Mk7.5 GTD Superchips EPC
« on: September 06, 2018, 10:15:42 pm »
I swapped from a Mk5 GTI to a Mk7.5 GTD earlier this year, now the GTD is a company car but bought outright by my company not leased. I've just read up on the Superchips EPC that doesn't supposedly leave any flag on the ECU that it has been remapped any truth to this? Also interested to see if anyone has any experience with this unit on a GTD, power delivery, drivability ect?

Thanks

Not a GTD but I drive a Mk7 R with a Burger Motorsport JB4 plug in box and haven't heard any users having issues with the VW dealers on the VWROC website as long as the box and loom is removed prior to any garage visits.

I don't see why Superchips or DTUK boxes would be any different if it is just a plug in box.

All I would be wary of, is the VW connect dongle that VW fit to the ODB port. I understand this can trace certain things and for that very reason I declined having one fitted to my car.
