After market window regulator
« on: May 21, 2018, 11:32:31 am »
I had an after market drivers window regulator fitted, but the window doesn't go the whole way down now (about an inch higher when fully wound down)
I wondered if they are supposed to do that ?
Asking as I've booked the car to go back to the garage so they can have another look at it - he said it might be that only the genuine VW parts go the whole way down..

any advice appreciated please :)

I had this when I fitted one from ECP to the wifes Mk5.

The rubber stop/bracket was a lot higher in the aftermarket one, so I removed it and fitted the lower one off the original which sat a lot closer to the bottom of the runner and all was fine again.

I have a set of 40mm webers that are in need of a fuel pressure regulator.  I was just wondering if there was a certian one that would do or will any make work?  Thanks in advance.
