AWD gearbox options
« on: October 06, 2018, 07:25:39 am »
With my BWA engine conversion finally done I'm now looking to do my AWD conversion. I know its a lot of eork and thr gains might be little compared to a properly setup FWD but its a nice challenge for me ;)

Someone told me that the mk1 TT box will bolt straight on but I'm also trying to find out if the mk6 R manual box will fit.

The code is KZV and the newer gear ratios and diff must be better than the TT box?

Can anyone shed more light on this for me?

Great thanks.....is there much difference between their gear ratios and transfer cases?

I found a manual S3 box. Would I need to replace flywheel and clutch to fit or will it work with stock gti flywheel and clutch?

My BLX engine config seems to be running the 228mm diameter clutch unlike BWA's 240 which should be the same as the S3 :(
So will try and find flywheel and clutch for this and hope it fits my crankshaft

Any idea if I need different driveshaft on the transfer case's side?
