Prepare the surface with something like a domestic iron, then rip it off as quickly as you can to avoid any damage to the bonnet!

domestic iron then rip it off quickly  :surprised:

er...no dude

If that doesn't work, try a lighter around the edges! A naked flame works wonders!

Heat gun then tar and glue remover after for the bit's of glue that are left on! Don't go to close with the heat gun and only peel the part that you have warmed up! polish after you have got rid of the glue.

How long have you had the vinyl on for? Can the sun change the colour due to sun/dirt fading?
My wife has Hibiscus flowers on the side of her car, been there for about 18 months, she wants to take it off, but isn't sure if the paint will have faded behind the decals.

If its made from like the carbon wraps i had, it comes off peice of cake, slow but doesnt even leave any glue residue. Dont know what the fuss is about!!

Be careful. You can take the paint off.Always warm the glue up first. The paint will fade but nothing a good Machine polish couldn't sort out!

Vinyl came off very very easily. It left no glue residue whatsoever, and the paintwork is immaculate! Hope that helps mate!

What happened, Mr Mcavity?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
