Ebay shortshifter
« on: October 27, 2018, 01:12:59 am »
After spending a million pound on a mk5 gti in the past a few years later I’m back in another tfsi

I remember the forge short shifter being a great mod but at half the price can I go wrong with this? Anyone running one?

You're right, does look like bargain but will it defo fit? compatibility check comes up...

"This item doesn't fit VW Golf V 2007 MK V [2003-2009] Hatchback Hatchback 2.0 GTI 1984ccm 230HP 169KW (Petrol)"

or is it an error of the automated check?

They fit fine, you just need to add a washer before you refit the nut to clamp the shifter to the box, otherwise the nut doesn't quite clamp it properly. Had one on mine for a few years now

I’ve got one new in the box I never fitted, can do it for £30?
