Nicest colour they did the Mk5 in I reckon, looks lovely and the mileage is pretty low too. Plans?

First update since buying the car so decided to start on the interior first with lots of little things ...first job get rid of the rubbish auto-leads 2 piece fascia and replace it with the so much better Connects 2 fascia one piece which looks oem.  It was a must i was going to wait till my cherry red hazard switch came but just wanted it fitted as i'm still waiting on the switch.

Next on the list is to get rid of the ugly interior mirror and replace with the scirocco item which looks so much better in my eyes and still auto dimming.

So why i was at that i replaced all the interior bulbs to led .. I brought a 14 piece interior led light kit from ebay and why i was fitting everything i found out i had electric folding mirrors and puddle lights which was a nice surprise. along with the kit came number plate led bulbs too which was nice.

Also brought a mk6 golf silver switch set as my switch's  were well past it ..Unfortunately i have not fitted all of them as i need a new passenger side grab handle as mine it well worn and also need to fit the fuel switch too.

carried out a bit of maintenance and changed my cam follower the kit came with a new seal and replacement bolts..The old one had a tiny bit of wear.  But thats one thing ticked off the ever growing list of things to do.. Also ordered some red R8 coil packs and new iridium spark plugs from awesome gti so should get them soon.

Looks good. What’s the part number (and cost) for the scirocco mirror and was it easy to fit?

So.. some more progress.. Maintenance first i brought some new Audi R8 red coil packs and some NGK iridium sparks plugs a week and half ago so i thought it was about time i got them fitted ...looks like just in time a know the sparks plugs were replaced by the previous owner in Jan 18  but one of the coil packs broke off and was still attached to the plug requiring long nose pliers to save the day.

Next little job on the list was to fit the Cherry red hazard switch.  Which i have been waiting for from china ..only took 7 days to get to me and the build and quality are excellent.

Last of all was a black Friday Deal from EuroWagens which i could not refuse a brand new set of R32 rear light and we all know they are so much better than the standard gti ones ..I've been looking for a set of these from day one of getting another golf but these lights seem to hold crazy money on ebay second hand so thank-you Eurowagens for that cracking deal.

R32 lights have arrived

yeah sure where your fog light is... Their is usually a red disc for the light to shine through i have removed that and replaced it with my spare reverse light disc from my old lights so both sides of the lights are the same  the only other thing to do is get a red bulb for the fog light....... One of the pictures shows the removal of the discs ....hope this helps

Thanks for that. I have those same rear lights so may give that a go.

How much hassle was the cherry hazard switch to do? The original one does look dated I think.

Not hard at all a 10 min job ..all you need to do:

1:Remove the vent at the top
2:remove the inner plastic tray
3: remove x2 T20 screws
4: ease up the top cover
5: unplug and remove the hazard switch by pushing x2 taps together and pull out from behind.

Job done!
