Anything else to add with new uprated dampers ?

Hi,Im away to add new bilstein B8 dampers to my already fitted st lowering springs.Is there anything else i should be thinking of replacing while everything is off ? ps-my ed30 is on 33k on the clock.

New or uprated top mounts, then, a list as long as your arm of every suspension bush under the car.
Given its age as one factor, then if it's garaged or stood outside, some of the bushings may well be worth replacing. Getting it on a ramp or stands and having a good old poke around with a pry bar will indicate if any are worn to the point of needing replaced. The OE or some equivalents (thinking Febi Bilstein etc) are not too badly priced, it's the labour involved in getting them pressed in and out, and the new stretch bolt cost that can rack up the £'s

At 33k, the various bushes could still be in good condition. If you are doing the work yourself, then labour cost isn’t a consideration and maybe consider the B6 Passat alloy hubs / arms which will save @3.5kg each side at the front for not much cost. Passat balljoints will help correct the roll centres given you have lower springs.
