Tar removal ?
« on: February 07, 2010, 07:50:12 pm »
What the best product for tar removal from the body work. Don't want an aggressive cleaner, some thing that is kind to the paint.

Also whats the best thing to shine up the black plastic bumpers etc?

Cheers

Nielsens Tar & Glue remover!

Spray on and leave for a min - watch the tar dissolve before your eyes!!

Cant buy from the shops tho you need to buy it through a local franchsier.

Tardis is the best I have used and I have used loads of tar removers If you dont have an autosmart rep near you get in touch I can do 250ml, 500ml or litre sizes or if you wish 5L.
Tardis will remove your wax though.

Again Tardis - excellent stuff, previously used AG Tar remover and Tardis is a different beast all together - made cleaning my wheels a great deal less a laborious chore !!

Thanks guys but there is no Autosmart Rep in the area and your not supposed to post the stuff to the Islands... No nielsen agents here either.
Is autoglym the next best or any suggestions on an alternative?

How often do you need to shine the bumpers?

Cheers

Tardis in my experience is a far more superior product to AG

I have used WD40 for small deposits without any problems.
