H&R SPRINGS KIT
« on: December 19, 2018, 03:49:00 pm »
Has anyone fitted this H&R lowering springs kit (30mm) (link below) Part number: 29176-1. Is the 30mm drop as advertised? and how does the ride compare to OEM springs? Would love to see any photos if anyone has them fitted.

I live in London and just do normal city driving most of the time. Won't be taking it on any track days so I don't think I need to splash out on a coilover kit. Although I have seen AP Coilovers for about £400. Do you think these would be a better investment for £200 or so more?

Also how do the H&R springs compare with VWR Racing Line springs? I've seen these for around the same price.

New to all this. Just had my MK5 GTI for 1.5 weeks so any help would be appreciated. :)

Similar but different; I have the vwr spring kit which lowers by the same i think. I fitted these along with new shocks. The ride is better than standard but not as taught and sporty as coils.

Is this kit the same part number that I have listed?
