My battery goes dead flat after 3 days. Battery is new.. Alternator checked its fine. When re-connecting the battery theres a crackling sound coming from the dash area below w/screen. theres no nasty smells. no codes showing.  its booked in after Xmasat an auto electrician.  Any thoughts. Thanks

crackling sound could be a bad climate control flap if you have automatic dual zone climate control... try a parasitic draw test making sure to engage door/bonnet locks and waiting a few minutes once cars locked
