Swirl flaps linkage
« on: January 02, 2019, 06:49:33 pm »
Hi all

I’m sure this has been discussed, but I can’t get the search to work, so starting anew!

The linkage on my intake manifold that controls the swirl flaps pops off every time the car is driven.

Is there a known fix, or DIY solution.

If not, is there an aftermarket option that isn’t as extreme as the HPA, I.e. doesn’t need software tweaks?

I’m running a MKV Gti with various mods; Revo stage 1 remap, GFB DV+, Upgraded EGR, milltek exhaust, Forge Turbo actuator.  It’s probably between 230/260bhp, so not trying for gains, just real world pace and reliability!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Chris

can you buy the arm/tie linkage separately? if so put a new one on as the ball joints will probably snap on better.. being new! just an imaginative guess mate.
