Late mk 5 heater box
« on: December 21, 2018, 09:47:01 pm »
I’m about to do the mk6 climatronic control retrofit, I’ve read that it’s best to change the air recirc bit on the heater box to the later single flap version.

Can anyone shed any light on a part number for this (rhd) or a picture as I can’t really tell from pics on eBay what version they are?

Need mine doing too, but need to find someone to swap it over for me too.

I've heard the new boxes can be split in half and done without removing full dashboard (just glove box) although it sounds impossible LoL

If you get yours done & want to help do mine, or point me in direction of someone that can.   let me know :)

regarding part numbers, I think you have to just look for pictures, look for the servo motors and count them
(1 around glove box area & 1 on central duct is correct)   early ones servos  had 4, 2 in each area.
Or to be sure, make sure it's out of a 2007 mk5 golf :D
