Low speed creek when steering left?
« on: January 30, 2019, 10:25:20 pm »
Hi guys

Have got a small creek when turning left (left only doesn’t happen when turning right). It’s at very low speeds I.e. driving off the drive, less than 5mph stuff. Sounds to me like it’s further down than being near to the steering wheel.

It’s a 2006 with 80k. Any advice?

Cheers

if you're diy handy, jack it up, axle stands... and tighten all of the subframe bolts, including the smaller ones on the subframe securing the steering rack to the subframe etc.

also take a pry by and see if any of your bushes/joints etc have an obvious play on the left hand side. other than that... you'll have to start replacing bushes and anti roll bar links etc that side..

It could also be the outer CV boot pleats rubbing together on full lock.
