ED30 Advice

ED30 advice , I have a 2008 3 door dsg in Tornado Red with 56k miles , RNS510,Hiline,MFSW,Bluetooth,Rear parking sensors ,Full VAG service history , Pilot sport all round ,R32/S3 brakes in red all round , no accident damage ,no paint work and it’s all original .

Build number 2260 ,I have every receipt from day one , I purchased it in May2010 from a lady owner with 10,000 miles on her.

I now have a company vehicle and the Eddy has not really been used enough the last 18 months ,So I’m thinking off selling , Can anyone offer any advice price wise ?. I may have a buyer but unsure what is fair ,

I think to get her perfect the bonnet and wings could do with a paint as there are some chips ,but I don’t want to try and hide anything ,

Thank You

Price wise I have no real idea, but I've seen them mint start at £8,000 and upwards to £11,000.

Yours has a great specification with very low miles, so I would expect it to sell on an open market quite well.

Personally I wouldn't paint anything, as soon as you do it's completely noticeable.

Edition 30 #1994 now sold. *cries*

I’ve had my front end completely re sprayed and it’s hard to notice if the paint has been correctly matched /prep’d and done well.
I would go with recommendations or via VW through their own body shops for best results.

My experience with local VW dealer and their preferred bodyshop was the complete opposite of yours!

The paint work went back 3 times before I complained to VW UK. The dealer then lied to them and they dropped the claim. Not sure what you find so funny about that?

Anyhow, the underlying point is that VW dealers mostly subcontract paintwork to a local bodyshop and then add their profit margin to that cost. You are not guaranteed a better quality job going through them, but will pay a premium price.
