Coded in my new canbus, 1 final error I can’t solve
« on: March 09, 2019, 10:57:50 am »
My rear left fog light is not working! After doing some googling I think it’s because my canbus is coded for left hand drive, I don’t have vcds, I’ve Been doing the long coding using obdeleven.

I’ve read that it’s in byte 9 of the long code, but my new canbus only has bytes 0,1 and 2. Any idea what I need to do to tell the car it is a RHD model? Thanks

I repaired the one on my sons car. It was a physical problem rather than a coding problem.

I think it is a common fault. It was a broken wire in the rubber boot from the boot lid to the body. I had to slice the rubber, fix the wire and tape up the rubber boot.
