Going to ensure i connected it up properly then will have to take apart and see if i can swap gubbins over from old to new

Just found this thread. I wanted to do this mod to mine a while back. But after research ws told by a number of people that you cant get any decent radio reception. The cars that you see with these fitted on a Mk5 golf are the early version with the Ariel in the window.  :happy2:

You would need to change the plug though or get an adapter.
