Which Eibach pro kit for GTi?
« on: March 19, 2019, 11:47:07 pm »
Hi,

I’m looking to refresh my suspension set up to near-enough OEM ride height, but I like to upgrade where possible and a small drop is acceptable. The Pro Kit looks like it will drop a GTi 5-10mm, however they don’t make one for the GTi, so which fitment should I be looking to get? The TDi might work but with a heavier engine would this affect things?

My other option is to fit a 20mm kit, something like the AP kit, (which looks like a bargain and seems to be well regarded) and then maybe upgrade to some thicker top mounts to reduce the drop- would this be ok? Which top mounts would work here?

Cheers!

I suspect coilovers would be your best option if budget allows.

Those springs are for the softer sprung MK5s.  1.4 - 2.0FSI and non 'GT' Diesel.  They might work OK on a GTI though if comfort is more of a priority than cornering speed/flatness.
