Ed30 owner saying hello
Youngscottie:
Just joined up and thought I'd say hello
Long time golf owner having sold my last 2 mkv r32,s I thought I'd purchase my edition 30 dsg
This might ruffle feathers but I can honestly say the ed30 is superior in every way in the 2 years I've owned it although the dsg has become troublesome (more on that later)
Thanks for having me
Alan

Welcome to the party
Interested in your point of view on that, as I own a ed30 and almost bought a r32 at the time I was looking, but as I already have a vr6 and didn’t want the extra costs plus I think the ed30 looks better apart from the exhausts.

Very subtle differences
My 1st r32 was manual and superior in every way to my dsg 2nd
The ed30 is cheaper to run ,service, better on fuel ,not as nose heavy, batter wheels ,classic interior suits the dsg better in my opinion also if I had to say it faster
Only thing I miss is the exhaust note( certainly not the £500 tax)
Both r32s were dbp and stunning
All my opinion of course and widely debated throughout the tinterweb
