Was just looking up alloy hubs for my golf.
Do Passat b7 hubs fit the mk5, sellers saying there the same as b6 hubs

Stick to the B6 ones.

The steering arm length varies on the spindles, which will affect how it steers.

Not sure there is a ‘best’ as such but I am happy with my H&R small 26/22 arbs for road use.

I run the 26/23 Eibachs.  They feel spot on.  Really big bars are only good on smooth roads, which we don't have in the UK!

I was running h&r 24/28 before I thought they were to stiff for Uk roads. So this time round will use smaller option. Are the eibach hollow?,
Was thinking of running to bushes in the control arms with SuperPro anti lift kit.

Stig, that’s why I went for the smaller H&R bars rather than 28/24. I do have the superpro control arm / balljoint set on the front with road durometer bushes and it gives a pretty decent compromise between incisiveness and compliant ride.

Sounds good mate, are you fully SuperPro up front?
Control arms and that.
I ran SuperPro alloy arms with the ball joints and anti lift kit on before.
But not sure if I want SuperPro or tt bushes all over apart from ball joints and anti lift kit.

Yes, have the full Superpro front set up. I don’t have easy access to a press to do the bushes, so it made sense to buy a complete kit and I got a good deal on it. Otherwise used Passat B6 control arms (and hubs) would be a cheaper way to go.

Yes it not cheap spent a fortune last time round don’t fancy doing it all again.
Got some Leon cupra hubs and will pick up some Passat wishbones.
Then are decide what bushes I will use along with anti roll bars.
I was planning on running vwr shocks with eibach pro springs as I don’t want to lower much as I live in London.
Road and speed bumps everywhere

Stig, I think you will be fine if you stick to road durometer bushes and slimmer arbs. That has been my experience and I also live in London.

Thanks for the help mate appreciate it.
That’s what I was thinking just a few small upgrades will make a massive improvement over the tied saggy original equipment.
