I would go with the ITG but the only thing putting me off would be all the different sections of it. It looks messy with four different connected pipes, plus a reducer, before the MAF housing, all of which could have been one pipe if they'd taken the time to fabricate it.

Apart from that the performance is good, but just looks too messy under the bonnet for me.

....That is EXACTLY what stopped me getting the ITG. However, there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that it performs extremely well.

As stokey says, "if we all liked the same, life would be so boring". I totally agree [you need not be quite so defensive - I'm not attacking some of your views but just expressing mine which are sometimes different].

I just got back from JKM's rolling-road day and my ECU has settled with my Forge Twintake and I plotted 261 bhp with excellent curves. So that's a further 8 bhp from first installation.

I think we need an intake dyno shootout, Same car and all the intakes...in one day.

Start off with a stage 1 car with a stock intake, put it on the rollers and see what it gets.

Then one by one get the intakes on......

BSH
Neuspeed
Carbonio & filter
DBilas
Forge
EVOMS
VF
ITG
HKS

Should make an interesting day, but it is only theoretical as it would be a logistical nightmare to get them all on :rolleye:
Golf R gone.

....I've suggested exactly that a while ago and so have others. You're absolutely right but it would a costly exercise as well as difficult to arrange.

could the ecu adapt to so many intakes all in one day?

....Methinks that that might be a very good and relevant question.

As I've said in my review, each of us chooses an air intake for a whole variety of reasons. Quite frankly, even if such a comparitive exercise was achievable I for one wouldn't be making my choice based on just the highest performer. There's too many equally important factors to also consider.
