Plastidip Glossifier

Anyone tried it?  Or do people normally just go with the matt effect?

I want to paint the bottom half of my bumper to cover up stone chips and previous owner bodges until I can get around to getting a full bumper repaint, but I don't want it matt finish.   Just wondering how glossy plastidip can look with the glossifier on top?

The car is non-metallic black, so I'm not bothered if the paint match is exact 

Also, is plastidip just plastidip, or is there a best brand to go for?

Considered just buying three rattle cans? One primer one basecoat and one clear coat? Comes to like £35 for me at a local paint shop (super car colours in Luton).

As for the gloss plastidip it just looks like glossy plastic as one would imagine, doesn't look anything like car paint.

Tried that last summer mate VW rattle cans, but it chips off very quickly.   The idea behind plastidip is it's rubbery and stones should just bounce off it.  I'd be happy with a glossy plastic look!

Wrap it with some black vinyl, seeing as you're not fussed with colour match.

Good shout, but if my xmas present wrapping skills are anything to go by, rattle cans might give a better finish

If it's getting damaged that badly that quickly stick with matt finish so you can just touch it up with the can at any point!

I sprayed my bottom splitter myself, I used standard plastic primer, black gloss paint and clear coat. Cost around £21 all in.

I done plastidip on all grills on my last mk5 golf gti come out great and lasted till I sold the car.
Will be doing it again for sure
