Just had michelin ps3's fitted
« on: February 21, 2010, 09:09:11 am »
They seem to be very good!

Although I've noticed the tyre fitter didn't change the tyre valves, as I still have 3 metal tyre valves and 1 rubber tyre valve?

My tyre pressure warning came on after 10 miles... So checked pressures.. All ok but on 1 metal valve the pin is too recessed in so I can't release valve with both my pen pressure gauge or my air compressor!

Can't believe it! : (

going to have to get a new valve put in now

am I ok to get a rubber tyre valve fitted as opoposed to the metal one? I'm currently running 1 rubber with 3 metal anyway!
I'm runnng the 18" monza standard alloys

I think the wheels are supposed to use metal valves.  VW sell them, so I'd take it there to get it sorted.

Be prepared as the metal ones are around £12 from VW...   :scared:
Without traction power is nothing!
