Broken rear sway bar
« on: May 25, 2019, 09:10:00 pm »
So.. heard a bang, thought it was a stone smacking underside of car but discovered that my rear anti roll bar has broken.   Would anyone be able to give me the size of a replacement and also would a diesel one fit on the gti?  Thanks

A standard Golf or TDI may fit but if it is softer, would be worse for understeer. Stiffer ARB would be better than softer. I would've given you my old oem ARB but I am in Oregon USA. Perhaps someone has their stock ARB in a For Sale section after having upgraded theirs as I did. I sold my ARB's along with the fmic and front brake calipers when I upgraded all of those bits.
