Hello everyone, my golf has had the maf sensor changed twice and it’s still going into limp mode. The error keeps coming up that the sensor is faulty but it’s been replaced. Could any one help with this?

MAF sensor fault codes don't necessarily mean the MAF is faulty. Could be wiring, could be an air leak, could be a number of other sensors

Yes, provide the code or codes...and your intake set-up please. Also, if replaced with the oem MAF or aftermarket supplier.

Correct but the associated codes will determine the issue??

Thanks for the reply. When plugged in it says mass or volume air flow a circuit range/performance?

Providing all codes and time stamps helps others help without taking many guesses at the appropriate direction to take. Because the code doesn't always mean the related part is the issue. This issue is more likely related to a leak, lambda sensor, MAP sensor...who knows yet. Without knowing the exact code or codes...there's no point guessing any more than we have.

What does one use to clean the MAF sensor? Soap and water, compressed air, alcohol? Suggestions please.

I believe people tend to use a solvent based electronics cleaner. Though I've never had the need to do this myself.

A quick google found the following as a type specifically targeted at MAF sensors but suspect its probably an electronics cleaner in different packaging:

Current:
Mk6 R, Tornado Red, 5-door, '13.

Soak in 91% Isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes...remove, and allow to dry completely on a clean surface or towel(paper is OK). You can also use MAF Cleaner products. Some say to pour alcohol into a spray bottle and spray liberally, but you risk dropping or damaging it more that way.
