New Member from the North East, MKV GTi!! Howdy
« on: February 24, 2010, 10:19:25 am »
Had my GTI over two months now and just joined this forum so thought id say hi!! Spec as follows:

Black 3-dr, Xenons, Winter Pack, Parking Sensors, RCD 500 6-CD Changer, MFSW with Highline Computer, Tyre Pressure Sensors

Loving the car so far although coming from a mkiv tdi with 45mpg an average of 23mpg is a bit of a shock but the drive is 100% better.

Plans for the car are a remap, milltek exhaust system, ipod connectivity and maybe some nice bbs wheels ala edition 30

Some poor pictures below when the car was dirty from my camera phone :-)

thanks guys!!

i have a couple of problems actually at the minute, booked in garage on friday.

1. slow coolant leak, no gunk in oil and car stays at right temp so think it could possibly be the "leay flange" issue

2. grinding noise on front breaks when breaking at slow speeds as if theres grit and stones stuck between the pads and discs...the brakes themselves work ok

garage ran a pressure test on the cooling system and could not find any leaks so back to the drawing board with that one  :sad1:
