Mine seems incapable of being brimmed! iv stood there for what seems an eternity, slowly feeding more fuel in and it just keeps going in! eventually i get bored and go and pay! lol

I've driven the car the petrol station and it's 'normal', park up, fill up and drive normally but it feels more powerful?

Petrol degrades over time lowering its octane level so if you were a low milage user then there may be a bit of fact in your observation.

Car's a daily driver. For some reason, I've just noticed that whenever I refuel, it's always before a long journey (ie motorway, more than one hour's driving) and that the rest of the fuel is then used for daily driving. By the time I need to go on another long trip, it's time to refuel!
