Miltek VS BCS - Resonated or non resonated?
« on: July 18, 2019, 02:16:38 am »
Hello,

Had the edition 30 listed up but with some bad offers I decided to keep the car instead! Looking to do a few mods to it now however the main 1 being the exhaust. The car is currently stage 2 tuned by APR and I am going to go to R Tech to get it retuned. However I want to see some BHP increase so decided to change out the sports cat and install a 3inch decat downpipe. However, currently I have a miltek cat back resonated exhaust system and im not sure if I should change it over to non resonated or stay resonated. Reason being, when I get the car retuned from R tech, I want to  install the "pops/bangs/crackle" map and want the sound to be loud.. Will it be louder with a resonated back box or non resonated and does anyone have any videos of how a non resonated ed30 sounds like?

Thank you.

I’d have said none resonated would be louder, but that may then incur drone inside the car when on motorway? I’m at Revo STG2 and I’ve got a full Scorpion decat, with center box delete and a Maxton R32 twin pipe back box. I was amazed at the great sound it gave and no drone on Motorway

Thank you for the reply, do you have the pops and bangs installed in your car? How do they sound with the resonated back box? Currently mine is resonated milltek, I love the sound as it is but I want to put pops and bangs and want the bangs to be loud. Thats why im not sure if they will be loud with a resonated back box or should I get a non resonated version.
