loose driver's side door panel
« on: January 02, 2009, 11:41:46 am »
panel seems to have slipped or come off an internal clip and now wobbles from rubber strip down to panel when closing door.  pop into dealer or is it a diy fix ? thanks

Dunno but mine has a screw missing from when it was resprayed (I didn't notice for about a month!).

Anybody know what screw goes in the top left corner of the drivers door?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

yes they are bolted on, which can lead to the of the mis-alignment experienced by some. My first Gti was terrible, think its one of the things they've changed with the mk6 to reduce production times and cost
