Recently picked up a nice mk5 with only 72k on the clock. Really happy with it but the only issue is that all the electrics controlled on the drivers door do not work (electric window, electric mirrors, central locking on the drivers door and fuel flap release).
I popped the door card off and checked the wiring both in the door and at the hinge join and all seems fine with no breaks. The only thing I can think of is the control module - does anyone know if these are interchangeable i.e do I need to get one with the same part number if secondhand / if I fit another one, will it need coded to the car?
