RCD 510 questions...

Does it play dvd's, not nav just dvd? this may be a daft question lol.
Will it work with my exisitng sound pack?
Any other cool functions?

It's the RNS510 that plays DVDs and has nav functions - the RCD510 is a touchscreen radio/6-CD unit.

IIRC both will work with the soundpack.

Thanks for info mate, getting confused by descriptions onebay......a couple of ads mention reverse cameras and DVD, are theredifferent versions of the latest rcd510, or do they all have the same functions?sorry to seem like a total newb, well I am a total newb lol.

Have a look here, a good summary of what is supported by what.

Basically, if you want nav or DVD playback you need the RNS510. Both the RNS510 and RCD510 can support reverse cameras, but installation of one of those is probably not for the faint-hearted.

Depending on the age of your car, you might need to upgrade your Canbus controller or you might have problems with battery drain when the car is switched off.

Only some of the RCD510's have the video input for the RVC whereas all RNS510s support the RVC
