OEM bluetooth, what are my options?
« on: November 26, 2009, 10:23:20 am »
I know this has been covered before, but I'm not sure if it has been discussed with regards to latest generation head units.

I have already got a Parrot handsfree kit which is linked to the steering wheel controls, but I have just bought an RCD510 and would like to have the handsfree integrated with it so I can get phone book on the head unit.

Is this possible with any of the retrofit bluetooth kits?

What are my options (which costs if possible please)?

Yes I believe he did.

IIRC he's opted for a 729E module.

Will do, thanks very much!

Does anyone know whether the OEM bluetooth is compatable with the newish Blackberry Bold 9700? Is there a comptability list anywhere?

Thanks

Has anyone with a sunroof got OEM Bluetooth fitted? My local dealer tells me that I cannot have Bluetooth retrofitted as I have a sunroof! Help!

Thanks

I've fitted them with sunroofs, a little harder to get the microphone cable in but no great issue.

You're not near Kent are you? Not sure what to do, as the dealer will are not interested as the system says that the panel cannot be fitted with sunroof cars!

They aren't talking about the same kat as you mate.   There are some quite crappy kits that VAG use which occupy the sunglasses holder.  That'll likely be what they're talking about.

I'm not near Kent but I can point you in the direction of someone that can help if you like.
