Anyone got any pictures of silver with grey inserts?

And as for white worm, my car is a 57 plate with 68k miles and the wheels are still in almost spotless condition, the original owner assures me they never been refurbed and he just looked after them with regularly cleaning/sealing them with decent wax and not kerbing them etc so im affraid that as good as pristine are that I have to disagree with what they said about white worm!

Whenever i seal mine i also remove the centre caps to do round the centre bore too!
Yes Polished finish is high maintainance to keep them looking sharp but so worth it compared to any painted finish

Exactly this  :happy2:  Look after them and they'll be fine.  I do the same, I also put some 17's on for winter use and no white worm.

know exactly what your saying ref Pristine...

The lacquer quality/coverage will no doubt have an effect on the longitivity of the wheels - and keeping an eye on stone chips on teh lacquer...

When i get mine refurbed i'll be going elsewhere despite Pristine being my local wheel refurbisher...

Diamond Cut with Grey Inserts all the way. Keep em clean, don't powerwash to death and seal them with wax.

I hear some people saying there's just bad batches of the wheels, some of them are just prone to whiteworm. Mine look fine for now touch wood (or touch diamond cut corrosion resistant alloys).

Anthracite Grey or I painted mine bright silver with grey inserts !!! Only because diamond cut alloys always corrode or milk under the lacquer

Bringing up an old thread but if you're still a member, what is the colour code of the grey inserts?

what were yours originally luke? Mine are grey inserts and will happily look in the manual if it's listed there. Failing that, wouldn't VW know the colour code of the grey inserts?

Mine were originally:

I think these inserts were called anthracite grey but I don't know for sure. I've nothing in my manual on it!

Sorry for the bump... I have 18" Monza's but they are not diamond cut. Does this mean they are reps? Is there anyways of telling?
