Mrs AnilS's GTI
« on: March 02, 2010, 09:24:27 am »
Finally found my wife a car that matched here demanding needs  :signLOL:

VW Golf GTI DSG (3Dr).

She only had here RAV4 (3 dr) for 11 months but the boot wasn't big enough and her previous car was a Mk4 Golf GTI (1.8T). She missed that and is a bit of a badge snob  :stupid:

Found the best spec/mileage (26K and serviced every 5-7K miles) I could find locally. I had the cambelt and DSG service last Nov incorporated into the annual service (£1K :happy2:). On top of the std spec, there is;

Metallic Black (Pearlescent)
Xenons
Rear parking sensors
18" Monzas (now powdercoated as they were white wormed)
Full Winter pack (heated seats, windscreen nozzles)
Full Leather interior
In dash 6 CD/radio

Still needs a detailing cos I'm fussy, but after a quick clean and vacuum, here are some (low res) pics;

Looks in good nick - have to remember that these are 5years old now, handle age pretty well.

So have you started the search for the Monza II's yet  :wink:

Niiiiiiiice!!  :happy2:

I still don't get why so many people spec expensive options like Leather and Xenons but don't have the MFSW which is only £120?  :stupid:

First thing I ticked on the three MK5's I have had!  :happy2:

Agree with Neg, the MK5 does seem to be ageing very well!

That looks clean - very nice.

Looks like it has the highline MFD - which is usually something else missed off and thats an even cheaper option!

Edit:  2 black cars = increased water bill  :laugh:

LOL, you're right about black cars  :happy2:

Her last GTI was also black. Cars are generally washed every 1 - 2 weeks and I'm on a water meter :sad1:

Yes, it has a MFD (forgot about that  :confused:
