MK6 clocks into MK5 - ABS Pump

Just checked and it just says MK60

Have sent Eddie a message anyway just incase.

Seems like it will all be a bit too much for me to sort out. I'm not sure if my pump is too old or not and not sure if I will need a new steering wheel/abs pump/CECM module/cruise control stalk to get it all working correctly.

Clocks will be going up for sale soon which is a shame as I was really looking forward to having a black and white display!

Talk to whoever can do the retrofit for you. Send them the VCDS scan of your Golf and ask which parts you need to source to do the retrofits that you want.

Your ABS pump is ok for white clusters. As Eddie-NL said:

My Ed. 30 being MY2008 has an AC rev ABS pump, so it's also compatible, although still MK60. My GT Sport has an AD rev ABS pump, so it's the 1st rev that changed to MK60EC1.

No you can keep your current steering wheel. You might need to update the steering wheel control module. The CH rev is compatible with all. Ask Eddie if you need it. Not that expensive to get, if needed.

The mk6 cluster doesn't fit the mk5 does it?

I know the Touran, Scirocco and Tiguan fit the mk5, but pretty sure that mk6 cluster is a different shape and has other placement to attach the dust cover from the top of the steering rack box?

@Christiank  i think this one is out of a touran..or a golf plus. but it was used in a 2007 golf before and comes with the loom.

hoping it fit mines! will be taking a trip to eddie once i have some time. thanks for your help and advise guys its much appreciated!

Any pump with revision S or higher works fine.
Doesn't apply to 4motion cars as all of them works fine

Mk6 clocks can be coded in mk5 but you need Scirocco, Eos, Plus or Tiguan casing for it.

My current pump is a K version so needs replacing for colour cluster.

I have an AC version to fit, but want to be certain about the front brake likes.

As far as i have read, some people say the pump bolts straight in place, others say the front brake lines are swapped. If they are swapped, do you have to replace the lines with the part numbers further up the thread, or can they be bent to go to their new position?
