join the club mate mines just started to slip in fourth very small amount but it is there got a quote from amd in essex sachs uprated one 1500 quid inclusive with a flywheel i asked if i needed to change the flywheel as it has only just started to slip and was told to replace to be certain as if it did sh*t itself at a later date it would bugger up the new clutch and then i would be back to square one which i guess is a fair point

Hi guys,
go with the Sachs uprated clutch + SMF. It is expensive, but you will not regret it. A friend of mine is running +370 HP with excellent results.

If you want the cheaper (but good) alternative, you can go for South Bend with cryo treatment. It's also derived from Sachs parts, but improved and well-tested. Pedal feel is very close to stock in stage 3 SMF kit (tested on friend's 2.0TFSI and my MK4 1.9 TDI).
