Number plate light turning off after 3 seconds

Evening all,
         I have LED canbus bulbs fitted in the number plate, had them in there for about a year no problems. Yesterday I get a bulb defective light on the dash and now my number plate bulbs turn off after 3 seconds. But they both work before being turned off. Anyone shed some light :laugh: :laugh:on this? :thinking:
