Hi people im just after a bit of advice here and recommendations. So Im after a catback for my 2005 Gti, I was originally looking at powervalve but they only do the powervalve system in a full turbo back. I was looking at their non valved selection and was swaying towards the 'sport' system. Im after something that off boost and just casual city driving sounds not much louder than stock and minimal drone. But when giving it some or being more heavy with the right foot really sounds good and has a nice loud sound to it. So my question is this, has anyone had experience with the 'non valved' catbacks from bcs? would this fit what im after? any other recommendations?

Hi bud,

I was in the same position as you a few weeks ago, as I wanted something that sounds more grunty with acceleration boost and more OEM when normal driving.

There are YouTube videos in regards to their systems to maybe kind of get a feel of what you are after, also I know that their site has videos on the various exhausts that they provide.

I have heard a lot of good things about the CATBACK WRC SYSTEM, I spoke to Nige a couple of days ago and he did recommend that system with a 100cell, which I believe will be a more similar thing to the power valve, however, I may be wrong.

I am swaying towards the Catback WRC system myself but will need to be 100% sure that it will be similar to the Powervalve. Unless someone on here can confirm if that is the case, then I will be going down sooner than later hahah :happy2:

Cheers for the reply mate! It’s a tough choice Isnt it haha when I’m seeing all these different recommendations all over the place! I’m 99.9% sure I’ll go with a bcs cat back as they seem to be most suited as to what I want! It seems we are both after the same thing! I got the BCS cat back sports premium to be as close to OEM as possible. Its lovely and a perfect fit. It made 250 on my eddy after a precat delete and inlet manifold walnut blast and 320 after stage 1 at R-Tech. Its subtle and a deeper tone than standard but does a bloody good job.  :happy2:
