Number plate not working

My golf gti has led aftermarket number plate lights they've stopped working now kept having problems with them working then going off while I've been driving, can anyone recommend any? Might go back to original ones.

By chance were they this type?:


I had those on my Mk4 -the connections are just computer pin board type and have no sealing,
Combine moisture with road muck + cheap materials make the terminals evaporate.

There is a great thread buried somewhere on here that lists of the correct types of LED bulb - from that I fitted a pair of these to the original enclosures and work great - choose 36mm 6SMD:

All sorted now buddy, changed the led bulb for a new one and its been fine ever since, possible defective bulb after 12 months, where’s that warranty card  :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:
