For Sale subsection just for cars?....

That's quite valid, TC - I'm not convinced that a subsection would especially increase the attention of scumbags but I see your point.

I don't  think we are the best place to support the selling of a car and to date am not aware of any successful sales as a result of this site.

Given that the vast majoirty of people list of pistonheads/auto trader/exhange and Mart / etc it would probably be best if they just link there adverts in the "other for sale links" child board IMHO  :happy2:

Yep, members posting a link in the "Other For Sale Links" would work perfectly well.

I had noticed several cars being advertised recently and the idea popped into my head. Always worth sharing ideas because occasionally something good comes out.

i can see your point re. theives and scammers, but no matter where you go you get them, even on autotrader and pistonheads. Its just the case of being careful.

I personally feel if a for sale subsection was added with links to the website where it is advertised would be very handy, mainly because i would be quite attracted to a car that has been enthusiast owned and maintained. Atleast it gives you an idea of the type of owner, and if they have posted a blog on the forum, the potential buyer would be able to see the progress and maintenance of the car.

Just a thought..
