Jerky Takeoff from standstill dq250

Hello I'm getting a issue in which I have a jerky takeoff especially when hot in both reverse and drive no fault codes are stored in the ecu I have done the basic setting a couple times to no avail flywheel is good with 2 or 3 teeth freeplay gearbox level is correct and fluid is clean the car drives good with no slips or bangs its just the jerky takeoff from standstill is this the warning sign of a worn mechatronic unit? this is very disheartening as driving in traffic can be considered a mare!

In my experience of this it proved to be the mechatronics unit. Quite a common problem as far as I’m aware. Displayed all the same symptoms as above, got the box reconditioned now smooth as anything. Would recommend taking it to a specialist who deals with these units especially.

Hello sorry for the late reply but i do all the work myself and i only have enough cash to change one item either the clutch or the mech the car drives smooth no slipping or anything between gear changes and no fault codes the idle just dips then lurches forward on takeoff from a standstill did yours do this as well?

i had a friend who's did something similar but would also chuck it out of gear completely in first and reverse. it had a code stored and 90% sure it needed a new clutch pack, if it was my car it would have been changed but he didn't change it in the end and sold the car (yeah one of those people) It's hard diagnosing something that can be one or two things, in your case not having any leads.. i would take it to a pro and get them to confirm what it is.

Yes mine had exactly the same symptoms as you’ve described, would lurch forward on take off and was especially bad in reverse, whenever I applied the accelerator pedal the car would kangaroo backwards, this only happened when it was warmed up. Displayed no fault codes and the box was otherwise perfect. Again though I would recommend getting a specialist opinion.

Thanks for the replies guys will get the replacement mech soon its coming from Australia and keep the thread updated or and sadly there are no specialist where I am at this is not a common gearbox around here cars mostly come with the dsg7 dry clutch.

Changed the mechatronic unit with a used unit the seller insists the unit was in good working order and had no issues anyways after changing the unit the car is completely undrivable  car won't cross 2nd gear and this code is popping up on the scan19143/P2711/010001 - Unexpected / Implausible Mechanical Gear Disengagement the main cause according to the Ross tech wiki is a worn double clutch but how can it be worn when the old mechatronic unit only issue was a jerky takeoff when the box got hot the car otherwise was driving perfectly no slips or bangs smooth gearshifts could the mechatronic be faulty or could it really be a worn clutch the fluid is clean no debris or anything thanks.

Got  the problem resolved the replacement mechatronic TCU was defective changed the valve body mainly the two main pressure solenoids now the creep control is working as it should seems like the pressure was losing when the gearbox got hot.
