Staying Logged In Problem....
« on: January 03, 2009, 11:24:46 pm »
....

Is it just me who is experiencing problems staying logged in?

I'm on Mac OS 10.5.6 with latest Safari build browser and I have to log in each time nearly everytime I relaunch Safari.

Any clues?

Thanks :happy2:

Just checking RR if you click on log out top right then click log in in the small red writing you then get a option to stay logged in always i am assuming you have already done this. If not try that.  :happy2:

Cookies set: Preferences > Only Sites I Navigate To.

I've previously selected to stay logged in but will do so again.

Thanks.

So far, so good, today.

I found I was experiencing the problem on a number of sites but all seems okay since I Shutdown overnight.

Some sites don't let you stay logged in forever or for a selectable time  - It's tedious and actually discourages visiting.

Thanx again :happy2:

This may just be a coincidence, but my Macbook decided to log me out of all forums/websites that require a username/password account yesterday............. (I too, use the 'stay logged in' feature in all)

Strange!

I am also a Mac user Robin (running 10.5.5 with latest Safari) and haven't experience this problem.

I will install the 10.5.6 update now (I have been meaning too all week anyway) and let you know if this makes any difference.

It's only happened since I installed Mac OS 10.5.6 - Is that what you are running, Chris?

I reckon it's either a Safari bug (I ought to check on Apple Discussions forum) or the latest OS being too American in its security measures.

Ahh ok, probably not related then!

Im on 10.5.4

Haven't run an update on mine in a while, as they have a habit of ruining my system and requiring me to re-install OSX!

Any of you experienced the same? Both myself and my father experience the same sometimes when installing an update from Apple! (He has an iMac!)

The logging-in issue is being discussed here : -

So we are not alone.
